The Avalanche

Technician position involves working under the Snow Safety Supervisor to implement avalanche safety plans. Candidates should excel in mountain risk management and effective communication.

Responsibilities include weather data collection, avalanche observations, and public safety education, along with equipment maintenance within the ski area. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive avalanche control and open terrains
Collect weather and snowpack data daily
Provide treatment and transport for injured personnel
Maintain equipment and signage in the ski area
Document avalanche data accurately and timely Requirements:
CAA Operations Level 1 certification required
Experience as a Blaster’s Assistant for avalanche control
80-hour Advanced First Aid or equivalent training
Valid BLS CPR certificate necessary
