Weekend Night Shift - Friday - Sunday (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)
What You Will Do
- Chrome plating of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques
- Part masking will be part of the regular duties of this position
- Part fixturing, loading and unloading
- Tank/chemistry maintenance and associated tooling
- Act as a cross functional team member and support other plating applications as requested
- Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
- Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
- Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Can fully achieve the responsibilities of the position within a training time of 3 months.
- Candidate will be expected to wear appropriate PPE
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications You Must Have
- High school diploma, with 1 – 3 years previous process chemistry background
- Experience in measuring equipment such as calipers and Elco meters
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience in using various hand tools
- The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
Qualifications We Prefer
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Prior chrome plating experience would be considered an asset
- Verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee
- Strong understanding of WHMIS
Salary
59,548 CAD - 78,643 CAD (provides a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels)
