Shops at the Empress is looking for full & part time team members to join us in our luxury fashion boutiques within the Empress Hotel.

Base pay starts at $19 per hour. Monetary bonuses will also be given after a probationary period.

Shops at the Empress has been serving clients for 40+ years and has always aimed to carry a unique assortment of luxury fashion items that can't be found in every boutique. As a new team member you will enjoy helping regular clients from Victoria to current clients from around the world.

Team members are responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving issues
Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
Stock shelves and merchandise products
Assist with inventory management and restocking
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
Upsell products and services to customers

Skills:

-Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
Robust organizational skills to maintain a clean and organized sales floor
Experience in cashiering and handling cash transactions




Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience
Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
Robust communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Ability to sell products by highlighting features and benefits
Proficiency in English language for effective communication

Joining the Shops at the Empress team is a fantastic opportunity to learn valuable sales skills and gain fashion experience in an ideal environment. We offer competitive pay and on site training for the position. There is also a $6.50 per meal food program available to all staff at our staff cafeteria.

Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and occasional lifting of heavy items. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
