We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher specializing in middle and high school humanities to inspire and engage students in English language arts and drama. Duties
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in humanities including grade 7 ELA, grade 10 ELA, high school drama.
Facilitate lively classroom discussions that promote critical thinking and diverse perspectives
Assess student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and presentations; provide constructive feedback
Incorporate multimedia resources and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences
Maintain organized records of student performance, attendance, and lesson plans
Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives
Support students’ individual needs through tutoring, mentorship,
or accommodations for special education requirements
Incorporate faith-based education in daily lessons and interactions.
Requirements
Proven classroom experience teaching middle or high school humanities subjects
Strong communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts and foster student engagement
Excellent writing skills for lesson planning, student feedback, and documentation
Attention to detail with proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in assignments and materials
Organizational skills to manage multiple classes, assessments, and student records efficiently
Experience in tutoring or supporting students with diverse learning needs, including special education considerations
Knowledge of educational best practices and current curriculum standards in humanities disciplines
Preferred education in a Christian postsecondary institution.
