Kayla's Children Centre is a multi-disciplinary centre for children with special needs. Our mission is to provide high-quality, cutting-edge, educational, therapeutic, and recreational programs for infants, children and teens with special needs, and to assist their families by offering support and respite.

Music Therapist

Requirements:
Entry level or above, Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Music Therapy
Current registration with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists preferred
Experience working with children with diverse abilities, including ASD, ADHD, developmental disabilities,



and physical disabilities
Ability to assess and implement developmentally appropriate therapy programming for groups and individual clients
Good collaboration and communication skills to work in an interdisciplinary team with and run multidisciplinary groups
Communicates effectively in person and via writing and maintains qualified relationships with students, family members, and school staff
Proficient computer skills for online scheduling and documentation
Strong music proficiency in voice and instruments; guitar skills preferred
Solid group leadership skills and ability to establish effective group dynamics
