Hipperson Construction is a Saskatchewan based General Contractor providing commercial and industrial construction services to a wide variety of clients across the prairie provinces.

As the company achieves consistent growth, we require a full-time, on-site Safety Officer to join our team of construction professionals at the Northern Lights Casino and Healing House projects in Prince Albert .

Specific Duties will include:

o Enforce compliance to the company safety program and provincial occupational, health and safety regulations.

o Maintain, and enforce company health and safety , practices, and procedures.

o Keep current with changes in safety regulations and improvements to work practices, and advise site personnel accordingly.

o Maintain safety certificate data based for all workers on site.

o Assist in the project safety planning including identify hazardous work situations and take corrective action to remedy the situation.

o Schedule and conduct regular site safety meetings and inspections.

o Schedule inspections for safety equipment.

o Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment is used and used in a safe manner by trained personnel.





o Lead the investigation of all personal injury and property damage accidents and near misses. Including preparing of incident reports and recommendations for corrective action.

o Collect and compile safety statistics and prepare site safety reports for submission to the appropriate stakeholders.

o Participation in the OH&S; Committee.

Qualifications:

o The candidate must hold their NCSO designation.

o Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.

o Have the ability to work well in a group and individually.

o Robust written and verbal communication skills

o Valid driver’s license

o Proficient with Microsoft Office is required. Experience with Procore is an asset.
