We are seeking a friendly, qualified Host/Hostess to join our agile hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in guest services, hospitality, and food service within a vibrant restaurant environment. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to enhance the overall dining experience. This is for our downtown location.

Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure effective flow of the dining area
Manage reservations and waitlists accurately using POS systems such as TouchBistro and OpenTable platforms
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and professionally
Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all materials are stocked and presentable
Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding guest needs and seating times
Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and reservation policies




Assist with maintaining a welcoming setting that reflects our commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction
Support other team members as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations

Qualifications
Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse guests in a friendly manner
Knowledge of restaurant POS systems is a plus; familiarity with food service industry is advantageous
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a hospitality setting
