We are looking for a dynamic Sous Chef who can manage the business of the kitchen and is ready to excel in a challenging work environment. This person must be energized to join our group and must value the importance of creating strong relationships with his/her team.

Reports To:
Head Chef

Role/Responsibilities:
Conscientiously learn, observe and maintain Liberty Kitchen systems and operations
Serve consistently excellent food to our exact specifications and within our time standards
Manage food, kitchen labour, and other kitchen-related costs
Oversee inventory and ordering, meeting budget targets, and conducting food cost analysis
Manage prep inventory
Maintain immaculately clean kitchens
Ensure food delivery meets timing standards to our guests
Continually train, develop and motivate quality employees
Maintain kitchen labour costs to agreed-upon levels
Ensure high quality of food and presentation




Ensure that proper food protected practices are followed
Ensure proper receiving, storage and rotation of inventory

Requirements:
Work well in a fast-paced environment
Have effective communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to problem solve effectively
Excellent organisational skills
Demonstrate a professional attitude, foster a fun and collaborative environment
A genuine ability to train, develop and motivate others – natural leadership ability
Exceptionally high standards on food quality and safety
Kitchen systems focus in a corporate setting
Flexibility in work hours
Possess a passion for food quality and an eye for detail
Minimum 2 years of management experience in a high volume kitchen
WHMIS, Food Safe+ Red Seal certification is also highly regarded
