Cleaning Technician

NewGen Cleaning Services is currently hiring Full-Time Cleaning Technicians to join our team in the Nanaimo and Cowichan Valley areas of British Columbia.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality cleaning services. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, secure, and welcoming workplace at a major educational institution.

Schedule
Primarily evening and after-hours shifts
Monday to Friday
Weekend work may be required on occasion

Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, washrooms, and common areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
Empty garbage and recycling containers
Restock washroom and janitorial supplies
Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely
Follow site-specific cleaning procedures and schedules
Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while on site





Qualifications
Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Physically capable of lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
Good communication skills
Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check if required
