Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Liquor Store Clerk to join our retail team. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, manage sales transactions, and ensure the store maintains an organized and inviting environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be capable of multitasking, and have a passion for retail sales and customer engagement. Bilingual abilities and experience with POS systems are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience for diverse customers.

Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products, providing product demos when necessary
Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
Maintain accurate merchandising displays to attract customers and promote sales
Upsell products by recommending complementary items to increase store revenue
Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed to ensure product availability
Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Ensure compliance with all legal age restrictions for alcohol sales
Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
Assist with opening and closing procedures,



including cash reconciliation and store security checks

Qualifications
Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a liquor or convenience store environment
Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
Ability to operate POS systems and perform basic math calculations accurately
Organizational skills to manage merchandising and inventory effectively
Multilingual or bilingual abilities (English plus additional languages) are a plus for serving diverse customers
Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail
Basic knowledge of merchandising, cash handling, and retail operations is desirable
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
