Job Duties
Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings of mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
Read and interpret specifications, sketches, preliminary drawings, and technical notes prepared by engineers and designers.
Convert design concepts and preliminary sketches into accurate mechanical drawings that comply with applicable drafting standards.
Prepare, maintain, and manage technical documentation related to drawings, including bills of materials (BOMs), parts lists, and technical specifications.
Ensure the accuracy of technical documentation used by the procurement and production teams.
Revise and update existing drawings to incorporate design changes, manufacturing feedback, and test results.
Prepare schematic drawings, orthographic projections, and other technical illustrations showing the functional relationships between components, assemblies, and machinery.




Support prototype development by preparing detailed assembly drawings and providing technical assistance in the interpretation of engineering drawings.
Coordinate with machinists, fabricators, and quality control personnel to ensure production complies with technical drawings and specifications.
Provide technical clarification and resolve drawing-related issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with engineers and other specialists to discuss design concepts, resolve technical challenges, and ensure drawings meet project requirements.
Incorporate engineering changes and technical revisions into drawings and ensure all documentation remains current throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards as well as the company's policies and procedures.

Requirements
Knowledge of French or English.
