Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen manager to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection while adhering to our restaurant's standards. This position requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure effective meal preparation and timely service.
Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for current dishes.
Help train recent kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and presentation.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
