Job Summary
Work primarily as a Radiation Technologist in General X-Ray.
(Experience with Bone Mineral Density would be an asset.)
Perform a variety of Radiographic procedures at a technical level.
Work as a part of a team with a commitment to excellent patient care.
Perform high quality Diagnostic Imaging with competence and care.
Comprehensive education and knowledge of anatomy and physiology,
Working knowledge of equipment and ability to troubleshoot problems.
The Registered Technologist is responsible to maintain competency and follow standards, as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
Qualifications and Skills
Graduate from an accredited Medical Radiation Program
Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO) required.
Membership in the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS).
Initiative, responsibility and organization required.
Valuable verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer skills required.
Have knowledge of all Radiographic exams, anatomy & physiology, physics and imaging equipment required.
Experience and ability to image accurately, thoroughly and quickly required.
Experience working with Radiographic equipment, PACS and computer software required.
Provide records of continued education and learning.
Problem-solving, time management and teamwork skills required.
Commitment to excellence in patient care required.
Demonstrated reliable attendance and ability/willingness to work various shifts required.
