Overall Responsibility:

Works along side engineering and maintenance personnel to install, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation. Layout, assemble, install, or maintain pipe/tubing systems, pipe/tube supports or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment for steam, pneumatic, hot water, heating, cooling, or industrial production or processing systems.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Work closely with the technical staff to ensure secure and reliable operation of process instrumentation and control systems.
Install and maintain instruments on current or existing equipment.
Calibrate, repair, maintain, and adjust system components.
Provide general troubleshooting and loop checks in field installations.
Must be able to travel to and from project sites.
Coordination with colleagues in other trades on multi-discipline projects.
Coordination with clients, equipment vendors and contractors on projects.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on industrial instrumentation experience.




Red Seal – Instrumentation and Control Technician (Industrial Instrument Mechanic) or Red Seal Pipefitter with instrumentation and tubing experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision, while effectively coordinating with the team and other trades.
Working knowledge of process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, pH, gas monitors, etc.)
Solid experience in the construction, repair, and alteration of instrument tubing
Ability to understand and use P&ID; diagrams, isometrics, schematics, panel layouts and other engineering documentation.
Proper use and working knowledge of test and measurement equipment (DVDM’s, signal generators, HART calibrator, other instrument calibration equipment).
Oil & Gas, municipal water & waste and/or Power Generation industry experience would be an asset.
