Food Service Attendant – Gravenhurst (Muskoka)

Join the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) and make a meaningful impact. As part of our team, you will help prepare and serve meals while supporting offender rehabilitation by providing valuable workplace training and employment skills development.

Key duties:
Prepare ingredients and assist with meal production.
Prepare breakfast items, sandwiches, and other short-order meals.
Reheat and serve meals while ensuring portion control and food safety.
Receive, store, and distribute food supplies.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, inventory, and storage areas.
Operate commercial kitchen equipment and a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Train offender workers in food preparation, food safety, and workplace practices.
Follow all food safety, security, and fire prevention procedures.

What we’re looking for:
Experience in a commercial or institutional food service workplace.
Experience with food preparation, meal service, or short-order cooking.
Experience working with cash register or point of sale (POS) system is a plus.

A commitment to safety
Effective oral and written communication skills
Possession of a valid recognized Safe Food Handling Program certification is a plus.
