Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and productive delivery. Candidates with a background in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, or forklift operation will find this position aligns well with their skills and experience.

Duties
Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for local and regional freight deliveries
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transit
Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary




Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues

Experience
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair is a plus
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
Familiarity with safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation
Robust organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance

Pay: $20.10-$24.00 per hour
