Job Description - Forklift Operator Location: Longueuil, Quebec

The Forklift Operator is responsible for handling, loading, and unloading building materials while maintaining a safe and efficient work setting. This role plays a key part in warehouse operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Mon - Fri 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Flexible 8 - 12 hour shift)OT is always available Counter Balance Propane and Electric (AC and Heat options) - More Propane (6) and less electric (3)60% forklift and 40% preparing shipment (lifting involved)

French Speaking or Bilingual only Building material knowledge is an asset

Key Responsibilities
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Load and unload delivery and receiving trucks.
Accurately prepare customer orders by picking building materials.
Handle various types of materials, including lumber, panels, and other heavy or oversized products.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quantity and quality.
Organize and store products in the warehouse and outdoor yard.
Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized work areas.




Follow all workplace health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with the delivery, warehouse, and customer service teams.
Report any equipment issues, damage, or potential safety hazards.

Requirements
Previous experience as a forklift operator.
Valid forklift certification (or training will be provided where applicable).
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Good physical fitness and ability to lift and handle heavy materials.
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the building materials or construction supply industry.
Knowledge of lumber and related building products.
Experience working in a lumber yard or outdoor warehouse setting.
