Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Apprentice Storekeeper for a 6-month contract opportunity. This hands-on role supports warehouse and inventory operations through the accurate receiving, issuing, tracking, and management of materials and supplies.

Responsibilities
Process inventory receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, inspect materials, and verify accuracy against documentation.
Enter and maintain inventory transactions within SAP and other inventory systems.
Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and material reconciliations.
Issue materials to operational crews and process requisitions.
Assist with scrap inventory management and material recovery.
Prepare tools and equipment for shipment as required.
Maintain a clean, secure, and organized warehouse, yard, and storage areas.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
Valid Class G driver's licence.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).




SAP or inventory management system experience is considered an asset.
Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and tools.
Knowledge of protected material handling, storage, and shipping practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Schedule

Shifts may vary based on operational requirements and can include:
6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must be willing to obtain or successfully complete:
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification
First Aid/CPR Certification
Forklift Operator Certification

Pay: $28.50 per hour
