Job Summary
As the Payroll Lead, you will manage the full‑cycle US payroll process, focusing on bi‑weekly payroll execution, recent hire onboarding, employee changes, and compliance. You will be the main point of contact for retail stores and corporate employees, handle payroll inquiries, and support Canadian payroll processes as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Manage workflow and processing of bi‑weekly payroll

New hire onboarding

Communicate with retail stores for employee onboarding, pulling data from email and following up on outstanding issues

Launch onboarding in ADP, follow up, and finalize the process

Create and maintain digital employee file folders

New hire data entry into HRIS and payroll system

Maintain accurate data integrity

Action and organize employee promotions, transfers, and general updates

Process employment status changes and terminations in the system, ensuring compliance with state final pay regulations

Aid in payroll reconciliation and preview processes, including ADP data audits, to ensure accurate and timely payroll

Develop and improve SOPs and payroll/HR processes

Maintain US tax and payroll compliance across 25+ states

Deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers

Maintain, update, and format Excel payroll reports on a daily, weekly, and bi‑weekly basis

Perform additional duties or projects as assigned

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Excellent customer service to all internal and external customers

Accurate data integrity and processing of employee changes

Timely and accurate processing of employee paperwork

Successful onboarding of new hires within days of hire





Qualifications
Education

Advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or Accounting

Experience & Skills

3+ years of full‑cycle US payroll experience with a progressive mindset

Experience in the retail industry and office environment preferred

Exposure to Canadian payroll strongly recommended (but not required)

Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll system

Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for all organizational levels

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally and discreetly

Strong time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Commitment to outstanding customer service

Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain high integrity and business ethics

Positive, professional, and energetic demeanor
