Job Title : Accountant

Job Type : Permanent position, Hybrid, 2 days on-site, Calgary Alberta

Job Salary : $70,000 - $80,000 / Year depending on experience.

Job Description

Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Prepare journal entries, maintain ledgers, and ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Support the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate financial data and analysis.

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

Manage and reconcile sub-ledgers (e.g., fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals).

Ensure compliance with relevant IFRS accounting standards and internal policies.





Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.

File tax returns, GST, payroll remittances, and other statutory reports as required.

Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Must Haves

2‑3+ years of general accounting, hands‑on transactional experience (AR, AP, bank recs, journal entries)

Positive attitude, rolls up sleeves, open to learning, and a team player

Well versed with Excel
