We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer to join a team supporting and enhancing a core mainframe cards and transactions platform. This is a critical enterprise system that connects clients to their banking products and services and supports 24/7 delivery channels such as Online Banking, POS, ATM, and other transaction-based services.

This role involves both development and production support, with a focus on designing, building, testing, deploying, and evolving software solutions in a highly available banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance software solutions that support core banking services

Lead and contribute to conversion, attestation, and audit initiatives

Manage individual priorities, timelines, deliverables, and project commitments





Analyze business and technical requirements to provide estimates and establish project plans

Create, update, and maintain technical and project documentation

Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional IT partners

Provide after-hours production support when required (rare)

Required Qualifications

Completion of post-secondary education

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Solid hands-on expertise with:

COBOL

JCL

IMS DB

Online / Batch processing

DB2

MQSeries

Git

Nice to Have

Experience with:

zUnit

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mainframe environments
