The CNSC seeks a Director for its Operational Engineering Assessment Division, reporting to the Director General of Assessment and Analysis. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team focused on regulatory compliance and operational safety of nuclear reactors. Your leadership will guide engineering expectations and inform the regulator's strategic decisions in this essential role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead technical assessments of major reactor components
• Develop and apply engineering-related regulatory standards
• Present recommendations to CNSC executives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for risk-informed strategies
• Represent CNSC on national and international committees
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
• Bilingual proficiency at CBC level
• Experience in nuclear engineering regulatory matters
• Proven leadership in complex technical programs
• Knowledge of nuclear reactor design principles
