Hours of Work
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre.
Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation. Type of Shifts: All shifts - Days, Nights, Weekends & Holidays
What You’ll Do
The RPN provides client care in accordance with the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario. S/he, as a member of the health care team, has a significant role in promoting health, preventing illness, and helping clients attain and maintain the highest level of health possible in situations in which a client’s condition is relatively stable, less complex and the outcomes of care are predictable
What You’ll Bring
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS RPN-Coronary Care Course required or willing to acquire within 6 months
- Relevant experience on a cardiac/telemetry unit required within the last 12 months
Who You Are
- Added Nursing Skills for RPN - Gastric feeding, catheterization, telemetry, suctioning, trach care, etc
- CVAD, IV meds and venipuncture experience preferred
- Excellent assessment skills
- Strong verbal communication and written documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients/families, staff and physicians
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
- CPI would be an asset
- Glucometer testing certification
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
- Demonstrated good attendance record and ability to maintain same
- Demonstrated punctuality
- Basic computer skills and knowledge
