Base pay range
CA$100,000.00/yr - CA$120,000.00/yr

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager is responsible for full-cycle accounting operations and ensuring the effective use and understanding of accounting software across the organization. This role plays a critical part in the corporate accounting process, including Joint Ventures, and is responsible for the training, supervision, and development of junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements

Oversee full-cycle accounting operations

Supervise and mentor direct reports and junior accounting staff

Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting

Support financial reporting, annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all accounting functions

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Identify errors, inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements

Assist with project expenditure controls and procurement requisitions

Support Project Managers with accounts receivable and collections as required

Review and release bi-weekly wire runs through online banking

Complete GST and corporate tax filings and payments

Review and approve credit applications





Improve reporting systems and recommend technology or system solutions to enhance efficiency and transparency

Work closely with Project Administration on AP and AR processes

Manage administration of the Corporate VISA card program and implement approved process improvements

Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

CPA designation is considered an asset

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting role

Construction industry experience is an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Construction industry experience preferred (not essential)

Strong ability to multitask and manage changing priorities under strict deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong people and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills## Handling This:***
