Job Description & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sr. Production Planning Manager, the Planning Analyst develops production plans while working with the operations team to ensure goals are achieved. This position will have intimate knowledge of the production lines and create visual aids to communicate schedules and timelines. The Planner will align production planning with demand throughout the life cycle of manufacturing and work closely with operations and logistics groups to align project details. Lastly, the individual will be working with our sales group daily to discuss changes in customer requirements and how that will affect future production and current customer orders.

Create and communicate production schedules, defining what is possible from the operation lines:

Schedule, monitor, and produce production reports in various forms for customers (external & internal) through all phases - from raw material consumption to final delivery

Attend operational meetings to understand production performance and incorporate findings into plans and adjustments to current forecasts

Lead the planning group’s consolidation of inputs from operations, technical/QA, and planning constraints within the workflow process for project bids to ensure deadlines are met

Assist the Sr.



Planning Manager in flowing through production schedule changes to all reporting based on revised customer requirements, production limitations and RM availability

Report variances and define potential options to overcome challenges as they arise

Order raw material and closely coordinate customer plans with supply planning team

Aid in the development of monthly and ad-hoc plans

Perform other essential duties as assigned by supervisor or defined by company objectives

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, business, mathematics or finance or five years of related experience

The ideal candidate will be a process oriented and capable of supporting accuracy and functionality in a demanding environment

PMP designation or experience in producing customer facing reporting and graphics an asset

Knowledge of tubular or coating industry standards including API & CSA and basic steelmaking as an asset

Ability to motivate employees and effectively conduct tasks through others; ability to foster a cooperative work environment in a matrix organization

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn various in-house computer programs

Ability to effectively plan,



develop and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; effective conflict resolution and/or mediation skills

Detail oriented

Computer proficient with experience in spreadsheets, word processing (Microsoft Office)

Excellent time management and the understanding hours will vary weekly based on demands of the role and planning cycles
