Join the Parks Recreation and Environmental Services as a Technical Lead Environmental Innovation Engineer. This role emphasizes strategic biosolids management and creative resource recovery practices.
As part of this auxiliary position, you will be responsible for the oversight and technical leadership of the Residuals Treatment Facility. Your expertise in contract management, compliance monitoring, and project planning will foster sustainable practices. Strong communication and leadership skills will enable you to drive improvements across the service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expertise in the Residuals Treatment Facility operations
• Lead design and planning for biosolids management initiatives
• Support long-term asset stewardship evaluations
• Manage consultants and oversee project submissions
• Present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in engineering
• Degree in a related field required
• Professional engineering certification (P.Eng.) or eligibility
• Strong knowledge of liquid and solid waste regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
