Overview Assistant Maintenance Manager - JLL
What this job involves: The Assistant Maintenance Manager leads a team of maintenance mechanics and works with robotics and controls systems technicians in a fast-paced workplace, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Responsibilities Model safety standards and maintain an environment focused on safety.
Lead, train, and support maintenance team members to develop individual skills and expand team capabilities.
Develop solutions to difficult problems; manage outside contractors and be on-call for emergencies.
Support multi-site production in a safe, customer-focused manner.
Demonstrate energetic, self-motivated, customer-centric behavior consistently.
Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meet deadlines, and develop plans to achieve department and distribution goals.
Provide complete oversight of preventive maintenance for the facility and serve as the client contact during the shift.
Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts and alternative schedules as needed.
Move throughout the facility during shifts to attend to equipment and team members as required.
Essential functions Partner with onsite Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to ensure safety standards are met.
Meet operational KPIs, including labor tracking.
Own scheduling and tracking of ticket completion.
Oversee building cleanliness and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
Perform daily and weekly audits for cleanliness and work orders.
Implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
Maintain a client-centric relationship with operational stakeholders.
Participate in development and tracking of budgets; assist in project planning and cost analysis.
Provide thorough feedback to enhance individual performance, including written performance appraisals, discipline, and termination when necessary.
Promote and conduct positive housekeeping and travel as required to support network needs.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior leadership experience.
Flexibility to work various shifts and alternative schedules as needed.
Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls.
Authorized to work in the hiring country without requiring company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications Experience managing budgets and vendors.
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Experience in project management.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
Physical Demands Ability to stand for prolonged periods and walk extensively during shifts.
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds.
Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet, and wrist motion for repetitive tasks.
Working conditions may include elevated heights, small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and uneven surfaces.

Estimated compensation for this position: 97,500.00 – 132,413.00 CAD per year
