You will collaborate closely with the Director of Care to manage all aspects of mental health care delivery, ensuring that nursing staff receive adequate support and training. This role requires you to oversee care plan implementation, promote continuous quality improvements, and provide leadership by modeling best practices in mental health care. You will also ensure adherence to ethical standards while supervising staff throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and oversee mental health assessments for residents
• Supervise and support nursing staff during care delivery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal care
• Provide ongoing training to healthcare staff
• Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse credentials
• 4 years crisis management experience in mental health
• 2 years of nursing leadership experience required
• Training in Psychological First Aid essential
• Understanding of Alberta health regulations and ethical standards
