Overview
In response to increasing project demands and development of our business, we are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our Transportation Group, supporting our teams across Canada and primarily in British Columbia. This is a permanent full-time position and can be based out of our office in Vancouver or Victoria, BC.
Your role
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Geometric design for a variety of road and highway infrastructure project.
Prepare preliminary and detailed design packages for multidisciplinary projects including plans, profiles, typical cross‑sections, grading and drainage, property acquisitions, geometrics and laning, spot elevations, signaling and pavement markings, detours and construction staging.
Prepare 3D digital models of the proposed design.
Develop cost estimates based on quantity take‑offs and unit prices.
Review work and complete quality control procedures.
Lead/support proposals and fee estimates.
Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians to ensure the technical adequacy of all work.
Contribute to or prepare project documentation including design briefs, design criteria, engineering reports, drawings and specifications to summarize the approach taken and project relevant results,
as well as presenting materials to clients.
About You
Holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGBC.
7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in road and highway design.
Experience with CAD/Civil 3D is required.
Experience with the preparation of design reports and technical notes.
Working knowledge and application of TAC Geometric Design Guidelines, BC MoTT Supplement to TAC and AASHTO design standards.
Willingness and ability to travel on short‑term assignments within Canada.

Expected compensation for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters such as skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
