Purpose of the Position
As a Supervisor, Track Inspection, you will ensure safety, reliability, and integrity of track infrastructure by conducting regulatory inspections, managing corrective actions, and overseeing maintenance activities.

Position Accountabilities

Deliver regulatory compliance to CPKC safety practices, policies, and procedures, ensuring unionized employees operate safely

Conduct track inspections at required intervals, compile accurate records, and address exceptions through timely corrective actions

Maintain proper records of inspections and track corrective actions for exceptions

Direct maintenance activities aligned with selective renewal plans for various track components

Set work priorities and objectives daily and make recommendations to the Roadmaster

Provide on-call support and emergency response on a rotating cycle to support 24/7 operations

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or general equivalency

Valid driver’s license





2+ years of hands‑on experience in basic or principal track maintenance, particularly in main terminal areas

Minimum 1 year of experience operating various track machines, with a consistent record of maximizing productivity and ensuring operational safety

Strong ability to interpret and apply relevant track standards and practice circulars

Demonstrated commitment to working safely and adhering to established safety procedures
