Become a Patrol Officer with the Eeyou Eenou Police Force, responsible for upholding peace in the Cree communities of Eeyou Istchee. Your role emphasizes law enforcement, emergency response, and public safety awareness.
In this position, you will report directly to the Lieutenant and enforce laws and Council Bylaws. Your responsibilities will involve investigating safety issues, such as domestic violence and theft, while also offering emergency support to victims. Familiarity with Cree culture will enhance your effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol local areas to foster community safety
• Investigate incidents and collect essential evidence
• Make arrests for various criminal offenses
• Provide emergency assistance during critical situations
• Involve in public safety and crime prevention activities
Requirements:
• Diploma from the École Nationale de Police du Québec
• Preferred experience in Cree Community settings
• Proficiency in Cree, French, or English required
• Valid driver’s license for motor vehicles and emergencies
• Capacity for maintaining ethical standards and professionalism
