Enhance patient care as an Anesthesia Assistant at Dartmouth General Hospital with Nova Scotia Health, providing essential clinical support in diverse perioperative settings.
In this full time position, you will report to the Manager of Anesthesia and assist Anesthesiologists across pre-operative, operating, and post-anesthesia care settings. Your role will ensure that all necessary resources for anesthetic procedures are prepared and ready for immediate use, maintaining high standards in patient management and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical support in various anesthesia settings
• Ensure anesthetic resources are readily available
• Collaborate closely with anesthesia teams for patient care
• Contribute to the post-anesthesia care process
• Manage anesthesia equipment transport and setup
Requirements:
• Must hold Registered Respiratory Therapist status
• Anesthesia Assistant certification is required
• Minimum two years of experience preferred
• Current BLS-C (HCP) and ACLS certification
• Ability to understand French considered an asset
