As a Senior Scientist at Xanadu, you will drive innovation in Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detectors (SNSPDs) through advanced optics and cryogenics. This role is integral to developing state-of-the-art detection technologies.

Your key responsibilities will include designing and optimizing SNSPDs, with an emphasis on achieving high detection efficiencies and fast response times. You will engage in extensive collaboration with teams focusing on photonic systems and cryogenic integration. Your knowledge will directly contribute to the success of projects aimed at solving global challenges with groundbreaking technology.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, test, and evaluate SNSPD performance
• Operate and strategically manage cryogenic systems




• Collaborate with internal and external engineers and technicians
• Develop low-latency RF readout systems
• Carry out detailed validation testing for SNSPDs

Requirements:
• PhD in a scientific field with 2+ years of applicable experience
• Robust background in SNSPD design and analysis
• Familiarity with high-bandwidth electronics
• In-depth cryostat experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and detail orientation
