Position
Small Engine Mechanic – To Repair Generators & Engine Driven Welders

Location
Edmonton

Responsibilities
As a Small Engine Mechanic you will be responsible for repairing generators and engine‑driven welders. The role includes:

Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, calibrate and recommend maintenance programs for welding equipment and generators.

Follow product manuals and service requests diligently.

Collaborate with others to inspect, diagnose, and repair welders.

Comply with safety requirements.

Role Summary
You will service, calibrate, diagnose, and evaluate repairs to engine‑driven welding machines and generators in the shop and on job sites occasionally.

Educational Requirements

Certified Journeyman Mechanic, Apprentice, or Engine Technician.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience and Skills Required

Minimum 3 years as a Journeyman Mechanic, Apprentice, or Engine Technician.

Capable of working on gas‑drive and diesel engines.

Experience operating forklifts with valid forklift certification.

Experience with welders and electrical troubleshooting is considered an asset.

Experience operating overhead cranes is considered an asset.

Clear communicator, both written and verbally.

Must have valid Class 5 (non‑GDL) driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.

Working Conditions

Shop environment.

Requires steel‑toed footwear.

Kristian Electric Ltd. is located at 14236 121A Avenue, Edmonton, AB. The position requires availability from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours per week). Some overtime may be required.
