Join ACT as a Mental Health Counsellor, offering recovery-oriented and crisis intervention support to individuals in the community. Your role will substantially impact the lives of those living with persistent mental illness.
This temporary role requires a passionate professional with a background in community mental health, specifically three to five years of relevant experience. You will create individualized care plans and deliver therapeutic support independently across various community settings, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct recovery-oriented assessments and develop plans
• Provide crisis intervention and support for daily living
• Facilitate community engagement and psychoeducational sessions
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and partners
• Maintain comprehensive client records and documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years in community mental health settings
• Registered or eligible with CRPO or OCSWSSW
• Solid interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license and vehicle access
