Qualifications
Must be a Canadian citizen or possess landed‑immigrant or permanent‑resident status.
Must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s licence with no more than five demerits.
Must pass the vision and hearing tests.
Must not have any unpardoned criminal convictions or ongoing investigations.

Application packages are reviewed by recruiting officers before the APREP testing.
Complete the APREP physical abilities testing as a prerequisite for the position.
Undergo a personal disclosure interview.
Undergo a behavioural descriptive interview.
Complete truth verification (polygraph) and psychometric testing.
Security clearance check and background check.
Successful candidate(s) are selected and offered the position.
Training & Consent
The successful candidate must consent to a police security clearance, including completion of a personal disclosure form, criminal and police records check, reference checks and polygraph verification. Training details are available on request.
