Job Summary

We are seeking a rigorous and organized Accounting Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring daily financial operations, producing reports, and supporting management in accounting tasks.

Main Responsibilities
Enter and process accounting transactions (purchases, payments, deposits, journal entries).
Prepare and reconcile bank accounts.
Monitor and account for fixed assets.
Prepare tax filings (GST/QST).
Supervise accounts payable clerks and ensure quality of their work.
Participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
Prepare required documentation and collaborate with external auditors.
Support the controller or management with other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Perform any other related tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications
College diploma (DEC) in accounting or equivalent training.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Good knowledge of QuickBooks (mandatory).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
Rigorous, autonomous, and well-organized.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions
Full-time position (regular schedule, Monday to Friday).
