Take on the Utility Maintenance Worker role with the City of Saskatoon, focusing on cleaning and maintaining transit vehicles and facilities. This position requires hands-on skills, ensuring both safety and efficiency.
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for cleaning buses, civic buildings, and equipment. This role demands routine maintenance tasks while fueling vehicles, checking fluids, and performing minor adjustments.
Additional tasks include recording vehicle changeovers electronically and operating power mobile equipment, enhancing transit operations for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean interior and exterior of transit vehicles and facilities
Perform routine maintenance on buildings and equipment
Fuel and service transit vehicles, including fluid checks
Record vehicle changeovers and defects electronically
Operate buses, tow trucks, and small trucks as needed
Requirements:
Grade 12 education required
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence
Experience in fleet maintenance is an asset
Knowledge of safety rules regarding equipment
Physical ability to perform assigned duties
