Description

As our Financial Services Representative, you will be joining a team of highly engaged financial service professionals who are dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to understand the financial needs of our Members and provide the appropriate advice and recommendations. This will include completing front line transactional services to support our Members day to day banking, as well as an opportunity to grow by fulfilling advisory sales roles such as opening new accounts, offering credit, deposit, identifying opportunities for wealth referrals, and positioning Meridian’s products and services to add value to our Members’ financial well‑being.

- Participates and leads branch activities in support of expanding the Member relationship and growing share of wallet including growing our Digital Ambassador Program.

- Engage in revenue generation and sales‑based activities in order to achieve performance objectives.
- Provide investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that fit and meet our Member needs.
- Within approval limits approve or provide recommendations on credit products based on thorough, accurate and appropriate credit interviewing and underwriting skills
- Open new Member accounts using account opening strategies

- Promote Meridian Credit Union in your community by participating in and being involved in community activities or events while demonstrating the Company Values
- Support local community organizations and activities through Business Development and Good Neighbour Program. Planning, preparation and delivery of Meridian hosted Community events

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Designations/Certifications

- Post‑secondary education or equivalent work experience in a financial services sales environment an asset

This role represents an existing vacancy. Internal candidates are being considered as part of our standard process.

Salary Range: CAD 50,000 to 58,000 annually

Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.
