Position : Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Status : Temporary Part time (0.6 FTE) (Until October 2027)

Salary: $40.05 – $51.77 hourly (rate effective April 1, 2024)

Duties to Commence : October 2026

Qualifications:
Current registration and in valuable standing with Sonography Canada and the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
Maintain registry status by obtaining the required continuing medical education credits.
Successful completion of a Canadian Medical Association (CMA) accredited diagnostic medical sonography educational program. The recognized Canadian entry-to-practice standards are described in the national Competency Profiles (NCP). The NCP provides the foundation for curriculum development in Canada’s accredited sonography programs.




Registration with Sonography Canada as a Generalist and/or Vascular sonographer through the completion of Sonography Canada credentialing examinations and Canadian Clinical Skills Assessment.
Proof of liability insurance coverage is required
2 years’ experience as a Diagnostic Medical sonographer in a hospital setting.
BCLS certified is an asset
