As our operations grow, we are seeking competent AZ Drivers to join our yard team supporting delivery operations from our Chepstow facility. One of the key benefits of this role is that you will be able to return home daily, providing a strong work-life balance.Position Overview:The AZ Driver will be responsible for transporting precast concrete and heavy products safely and efficiently on local routes. This role involves operating commercial vehicles, loading and unloading product using appropriate equipment, completing required inspections and documentation, and working collaboratively with Yard Operations and dispatch to meet delivery schedules. The position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.Safely operate commercial AZ vehicles to transport precast products to specified destinations.Load and unload precast products using appropriate equipment and protected handling procedures.Maintain accurate paperwork including logbooks, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.Follow designated routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.Perform yard shunting when required to support yard operations.Ensure the security and proper handling of all transported items.Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks as required.Clean trucks and trailers daily.Follow all company policies, traffic laws,



and regulatory standards to support a safe and efficient operation.Be available for day and afternoon shifts, with flexibility for early starts, extended hours, and night shifts when required to meet business needs.Qualifications:Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence with Air Brake (Z) endorsementGood driving record (clean abstract)Minimum 3 years AZ truck driving experience requiredMinimum 1 year flatbed experience required ; experience with specialty inloader trailers transporting precast products will be an assetAble to complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsComfortable with loading/unloading and securing precast products safelyAble to keep track of logs, paperwork, and delivery documentsGood communication with dispatch, customers, and yard staffWorks safely and follows traffic laws and company safety rulesReliable, punctual, and able to work alone or with a teamPhysically fit for the job (outdoor work, job sites, yard work, lifting straps/chains)Schedule:Monday to Friday, Weekends as neededMust be available for flexible start/finish times depending on dispatch and operational needsShift work required (day/afternoon/night rotations as per operational requirements)Compensation:Wage commensurate with experienceBenefits:Home dailyPensionDental careExtended health careVision careHow to Apply: Please submit your resume toFritz-Alder Precast is an equal-opportunity employer, and we welcome candidates of all backgrounds and experiences to apply.
