GTA area company seeks CPA controller to cover a 6 month maternity leave (with possible extension). Reports to the CEO. Growing business - launching recent products and scaling - where your work makes a difference.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Taxation and Compliance - returns, closing, SR&ED;, compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards.

Reporting and Operations - monthly closings, general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, margins, costs of production.

Improving processes and supporting strategy - looking for funding.

Leadership - helping junior staff and reporting to C‑Suite.

REQUIREMENTS:

CPA with minimum 5 years’ experience, best in multi‑entity or manufacturing.

Able to do reconciliations, close, report.

In‑depth knowledge of GST/HST, ASPE, and corporate tax.

Able to work independently and with other departments in a busy, fast‑paced environment.

Financial Leader - multi‑entity operations, compliance, tax.

$90K - $110K per annum salary

Starting date - ASAP.
