Job Summary
As a Claims Specialist, Casualty you will manage high‑severity and complex casualty claims, including litigation cases, ensuring fair and efficient resolutions, conducting comprehensive file reviews, and mentoring junior claims handlers.

Responsibilities

Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle moderate to severe bodily injury claims, as well as property damage liability claims

Proactively manage your desk by adhering to deadlines, keeping transparent notes, and maintaining timely and accurate reserves

Mentor other more junior team members

Support special projects as needed

Qualifications

5-10 years handling moderate to severe casualty claims

Prior experience in mentoring and technical evaluation

Strong analytic and negotiation skills

University or college degree

CIP, FCIP or CRM designations an asset

Proficient in investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement of claims

Strong problem‑solving skills

Demonstrated willingness for continued development





Travel may be required

Compensation & Benefits
The expected base salary range for this position is $67,000 – $117,000. Additional earnings may be possible through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program, based on business performance and individual goals. Work Arrangement
Permanent, Full‑Time, Hybrid role. Regular in‑person workdays at our Cambridge Office or Toronto Office are expected ≥ two days per week.
