Elevate health outcomes as a Communication Disorders Assistant at Brant Community Healthcare System. Collaborate with Speech and Language Pathologists to support adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
At BCHS, you’ll contribute to patient care under the guidance of speech professionals. This role requires a minimum of two years of CDA experience and a recognized college program completion. You'll screen patients, implement treatment plans, and document progress while ensuring the highest standard of care in a cooperative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support screenings and treatment of clients with disorders
• Execute prescribed treatment programs as directed
• Document and report client progress to SLP
• Maintain patient handling safety principles
• Collaborate effectively in a team setting
Requirements:
• Minimum two years’ experience as Communication Disorders Assistant
• Completed recognized Communication Disorders program
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Experience with neurological conditions preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
