About The Role Are you looking to build a solid career in manufacturing? We are seeking a motivated, safety-conscious team player to join our production crew in Owen Sound. We offer great starting pay, on-the-job training, and an early start to your weekend every Friday!
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
Salary: Starting at $22.00 per hour
Responsibilities & Key Skills Saw Operations: Learn to read cut sheets/drawings and operate table, chop, upper cut, and band saws.
Crate & Skid Assembly: Learn to expertly use power tools including nail guns, impact guns, drills, and glue machines.
General mechanical aptitude
Strong problem-solving skills, organization and planning skills
experience working with power tools
Knowledge of both metric and imperial measuring system
Read and interpret different drawing and blueprints
Qualifications carry out functions as per production work order requirements, cutting sheets and drawings
Learn to read cut sheets and perform all saw functions, table saw, Chop saw, Upper cut saw, band saw
Learn to use all tools, such as nail guns, impact guns, drills, glue machines etc. for crate and skid assembly
Additional skills if you have this also forklift, (License required) for unloading raw materials, customer goods, and loading finished product.
