Shape a proactive safety culture with the City of Brandon as an Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator. Engage employees, lead initiatives, and ensure compliance in a full-time role.
As an Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator, you will oversee corporate safety strategies while managing a dedicated safety team. This leadership role focuses on compliance with Manitoba’s safety regulations, employee engagement, and fostering a secure workplace culture. You’ll also provide essential training to enhance safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and communicate corporate safety philosophy
• Supervise and mentor safety staff effectively
• Lead corporate safety initiatives and change management
• Ensure compliance with Manitoba's Safety and Health Legislation
• Prepare and present safety reports to stakeholders
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent educational background
• Minimum five years' experience in Workplace Safety and Health
• Hold valid Intermediate/Standard First Aid certification
• Minimum three years' supervisory experience
• Class 5 Manitoba Driver's license
