We're looking for a motivated andcustomer-focused Field Service Technician to join our growing team. If youenjoy working directly with clients, solving technical challenges, and being onthe move rather than sitting behind a desk all day, we want to hear from you.
Job Summary: Northern Computer’s Field Services teamdelivers on site expertise that keeps our clients productive and confident intheir technology. You’ll be the face on site when it comes to resolving issues,completing proactive visits, installing gear, closing the loop in our systems,and partnering closely with the Service Desk, NOC/SOC, Projects, and AccountManagement. The role blends Tier 2 troubleshooting with disciplineddocumentation and client relationship skills.
What You’ll Do: Perform onsite technicalsupport as the primary technician for client environments, handling Tier 1- 2issues.
Diagnose, repair, and validatefixes for endpoint, network edge, and infrastructure problems.
Complete proactive site visits on a regular cadence (weekly/biweekly/monthly/quarterly), documenting findingsand routing follow ups.
Install and stage hardwareincluding server racks, access points, switches, firewalls, servers, andperipheral equipment.
Execute deviceadds/moves/changes and support scheduled deployments in coordination with NOC,Service Desk, and Projects.




Maintain high-quality ticketingpractices: clear documentation, time entries, photos, notes, and next steps.
Update and validate IT Gluedocumentation after each onsite visit and whenever configurations change.
Communicate clearly with endusers and site contacts, providing professional, confidence building onsiteinteractions.
Ensure that no hardware is leftbehind and maintain secure, well-organized tools, loaner kits, and the companyvehicle.
Surface opportunities, risks,and project/quote needs to AM/TDM/SDM with complete context.
What We’re Looking For: Minimum 3 years of IT FieldServices experience.
Minimum 3 years supportingbusiness technology environments.
Tier 2 to Tier 3 technicalsupport experience.
Strong troubleshooting andproblem-solving skills.
Excellent communication andcustomer service abilities.
Valid driver's license with aclean driving record.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to travel up to 75% ofthe time.
