Role and Facility Information
The Island Health Department of Medical Imaging is seeking a full time General Radiologist for the North Island hospitals Comox Valley and Campbell River.

These facilities opened in the fall of 2017 and medical Imaging services at both hospitals include: general x-ray, two fixed MRI, on-site CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound and interventional procedures, all within a fully functional PACS environment. Additionally, at the Comox Valley Hospital, there is nuclear medicine service.

Eligible candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology and full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.

The position includes CT, MRI, US, DR, Fluoroscopy procedures, breast imaging, and basic non-vascular interventional procedures. The successful candidate may elect to reside in either Campbell River or Comox.

Benefits
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement (RSA) including:

Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)

Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)

Fee Premium 6.93%,

Annual Flat Fee $10,739.52





CME payments of $3000 in years 3 and 4 and $6000 after 4 years.

The beautiful waterfront communities of Campbell River and Comox are co-located (57 kilometres apart) with both communities offering unparalleled access to recreational activities promoting a balanced lifestyle and providing an idyllic setting for outdoor enthusiasts.

The Comox Valley Airport offers daily non-stop flights to/from Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, plus seasonal service to Mexico. Campbell River has a municipal airport with regular daily flights between Vancouver and the island.
