About The Role
Tenure: Permanent full‑time

Science and Innovation, Industry and Corporate Capability builds the State’s capacity through targeted support, fostering innovation and industry capability and ensures effective and efficient administration of DEED’s financial assistance and equity programs and business support functions.

The Department of Energy and Economic Diversification is seeking a highly motivated job design & classification specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team.

In this role, you will provide expert advice and consultancy across the Department on all aspects of job design, position classification and establishment processes. You will undertake complex job evaluations, prepare comprehensive classification assessment reports, maintain organisational structure data and Job Description Forms (JDFs), and contribute to workforce improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in position classification and job evaluation, strong analytical and report writing skills, and the ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be well organised,



able to manage competing priorities and committed to delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused outcomes.
