As a Simulation Assistant, you will prepare high-quality simulations that integrate visual, auditory, and tactile elements. Your responsibilities will include setting up and maintaining medical simulation labs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with instructors to coordinate activities. A significant aspect of this role is to foster cooperative relationships with staff and students, ensuring effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare simulations with various sensory components for enhanced learning
• Set up and maintain medical simulation equipment and labs
• Troubleshoot and repair simulation A/V and mechanical systems
• Manage inventory using tracking systems and report to coordinators
• Assist in training new staff and maintain effective safety protocols
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in nursing or paramedicine
• Minimum two years in an acute care clinical setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and simulation software
• Experience with MS Office suite
• Valid driver’s license for travel to other campuses
